Florence’s Pinhole Photos

I am from Regina and I am a senior student at the University of Regina enrolled in the Post-Baccalaureate in Visual Arts Certificate program.

For the last part of this semester I worked on a photographic series on the housing crisis (not shown) and editing the pinhole camera results from three month long solargraphy recordings of the sun. Each line shows the sun's daily journey, except when it was cloudy or there was fog.

I put out 14 cameras. One outside my yard and three at the university disappeared.

I edited 7 of the 10 that were scanned.

The above were taken from inside the windows on the top floor of my home.

This one was taken in my backyard looking southeast over the fence.

These two were taken from two different points from the outside 2nd floor university walk way facing south.

The last one is only in the book produced for the class and used on the poster.

Height of the camera placement and/or height of the hole on the can, account for the different placements of the high noon sun in the photographs.
